Un nouvel organisme gouvernemental chargé de la gestion du tourisme, qui devrait démarrer ses activités ce mois-ci, regroupera sous un même toit plusieurs activités du secteur touristique tunisien, en conjuguant les efforts déployés pour renforcer la promotion du tourisme, élaborer la stratégie globale et faciliter la mise en œuvre d'une politique du transport aérien plus libéralisée, notamment en menant des négociations concernant la signature d'un accord « ciel ouvert ».

With visitor arrival numbers and tourism spend both up in recent years, Papua New Guinea’s (PNG) tourism sector is showing solid signs of consistent growth. A renewed focus on niche markets, particularly adventure and ecotourism, has seen international recognition of the burgeoning sector. However, a lack of infrastructure and security issues could frustrate further achievements.

The emirate of Ajman is looking to broaden its tourism horizons, investing in new upmarket resorts and facilities while also hoping to attract a greater slice of the UAE’s business and conference trade. It will, however, have to compete with many of its near neighbours, which have already established a strong position in the market and have the infrastructure needed to support their tourism industries.

In an encouraging testament to the country’s push to increase the size of its services sector, Ghana has seen an impressive rise in visitor arrivals over the past few years, and capital investments look set to help provide the foundation for continued growth. However, capitalising on much of the still-latent potential will require investment and imagination.
