Indonesia is transforming from a resources- and consumption-based economy to a more manufacturing- and investment-oriented one, working to build an industrial base that will allow it to reduce its dependence on imports and keep more value within the economy. Following his inauguration in October 2014, President Joko Widodo quickly took a number of vital and positive steps that so far are increasing opportunities for foreign direct investment.

The tourism industry in Turkey could see stormy weather this summer with a sharp slowdown in arrivals from Russia and some European countries, combined with a weaker domestic market due to the sluggish economy. 

A tapering of demand will lower earnings in Dubai’s tourism and hospitality industry this year, though an expected rise in arrivals from emerging markets, in particular Asia, may offset weaker traffic from more established sources of visitors.

An improving investment climate, supported by a raft of transport infrastructure upgrades, should help to boost Mongolia’s tourism sector this year, with the upper end of the market set to enjoy above-average growth.
