A recent report on information and communications technology (ICT) has shown that regional rivals are advancing at a faster rate than Malaysia, and that more needs to be done to achieve public targets set by the government. However, officials remain confident that the lost ground will soon be made up.

It is certainly intensely competitive, but the size and growth potential of the Indonesian telecoms sector suggests that players that invest and innovate can enjoy considerable success.

On April 3, 2011, Qatar officially launched the National Health Strategy (NHS) 2011-16, the government’s plan to upgrade and improve the country’s health care sector. Based on principles originally outlined in National Vision 2030, Qatar’s long-term development programme, the NHS has the potential to bring about substantial changes to the sector.

Arrival numbers are up, hotels are benefitting from nearly record-high occupancy rates and business tourism is on the rise as professionals seek quieter and safer places to do deals.

According to several recently published reports, the outlook for Kuwait's real estate sector is looking up. After hitting a low in 2009, the real estate market has begun to show signs of recovery and following robust expansion in 2010, the sector appears poised to see further growth this year.
