Morocco’s economy is poised to continue along its trajectory of economic growth, but GDP expansion rates will depend on the policy choices made by the government. Although estimates by the IMF project that annual growth rates will reach 4.5% in 2024, there is still the matter of ensuring that GDP growth translates into improving conditions across all segments of the population.

As it heads into 2020 Senegal is well placed to continue its strong rate of recent growth, thanks to ongoing public investment and the expansion of the energy industry and digital economy.

Ghana has raised $3bn as part of a new eurobond issued on February 4. The issuance was almost five times oversubscribed and attracted around $14bn in bids.

 

LANGUAGE: English is widely spoken in Ghana and is frequently used in formal business settings. Ghanaians do appreciate when visitors try to use basic words in Twi, such as Akwabaa (Welcome), Wo ho te sen? (How are you?) or Me da ase (Thank you).
