Nigerians wear both Western and traditional dress, the latter especially on Fridays, although foreigners are often expected to wear formal business attire for meetings. Appearance is very important and is often considered to be indicative of one’s social status.

As mass transit in urban centres is limited, road transport is the most common travel option in Nigeria. Taxis are readily available, and mobile apps such as Uber and Easy Taxi are widely used in the country. Within the country air travel is often the preferred option.
