Education

Helena has a BA in Journalism and International Relations from Antonio de Nebrija University in Madrid, Spain, and a Diploma in Mass Communication from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, in the US. 

She also holds professional certificates in Principles of Sustainable Finance from Erasmus University Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, and Business Strategies for a Better World from Wharton Online, at the University of Pennsylvania, in the US.

Work History

Helena is Director of Sustainability and Field Development at Oxford Business Group (OBG). She is trilingual (Spanish, English and French), which allows her to work with clients and staff from a variety of countries and backgrounds.

Helena joined OBG in 2008, initially working across the Americas – in Mexico, Colombia, Panama and Peru – as well as in the Gulf, North Africa and Asia. She was promoted to Field Development Director and tasked with setting up business development and HR strategies to penetrate new markets, which she excelled at for several years while also remaining active in the field. 

Helena taught Cross Cultural Management at the Carlos III University in Madrid, Spain, and prior to OBG she worked for a marketing and communications agency.

Helena is a scuba diver and combines her skills as a photographer with her love of travel – a passion shared by most of the team at OBG.
