As one of the first countries on the continent to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic, Ghana has been able to limit many of its health and economic consequences. Despite the numerous fiscal, economic and social challenges Ghana has faced, the country is also capitalising on emerging opportunities. This report includes an overview of the pandemic’s short-term impact on the Ghanaian economy, a detailed analysis of the public and private sector response, and a deep-dive into how Ghana is looking to reinvent itself following the outbreak.
