Mexico has rebounded swiftly from the pandemic as economic activity resumed and the country became the first in Latin America to begin a mass vaccination programme. The newly signed US-Mexico-Canada Agreement and large-scale stimulus spending in the US have helped cement Mexico's status as a manufacturing centre of choice, particularly amid lockdowns in primary manufacturing sites in Asia.

With heavy chemical-consuming industries like automotive expanding, chemical traders and producers have reacted quickly to meet emerging demand.
