Internationally known for its capital, Agadir – a traditional holiday destination for European tourists – Souss Massa is increasingly positioning itself as an industrial centre and strategic gateway between North and sub-Saharan Africa. The rise of value-added processing at its industrial zones, ongoing human resource development and a burgeoning start-up ecosystem underpin a positive outlook for growth. At the same time, long-term investment under flagship national programmes such as the Industrial Acceleration Plan are catalysing development in the region and adding value to key sectors such as agriculture and fisheries.

This Focus Report was produced in partnership with CRI Souss Massa, the Region of Souss Massa and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises Souss Massa.
